Maruti XL7 2025 Review: Rugged Alloy Styling, Wireless CarPlay, Rear AC Vents and Million‑Mile Reliability

Robust, rugged stanceThe Maruti Suzuki XL7 2025 is an audacious new addition to the compact MPV segment combining tough SUV looks with the space and versatility of an MPV. Derived from the Ertiga, the XL7 is packed with aggressive style, loads of features and better performance – perfect for the city slicker growing families who don’t want to settle for the usual family car.

Bold Design & Exterior

The 2025 XL7 features SUV-derived design elements like a chrome-studded front grille, LED headlamps with DRLs, roof rails, side cladding and sporty alloy wheels. It also has a high ground clearance and powerful body lines which makes it a presence hot on the road. From all four sides, the XL7 exudes a premium and sporty air that is unmistakably present in its segment while on the move.

Spacious and Feature-Rich Cabin

On the inside, the XL7 may get 6-seater (captain seat) and 7-seater (bench row) layouts. The cabin is roomy and comfortable and there are touches like armrests in the second row, plenty of legroom wherever you’re sitting and a boot that can be expanded by folding the third row. With premium materials and intelligent design, it embodies a premium feel with no compromise on practicality.

Engine & Fuel Efficiency

What lies under the bonnet is Maruti’s reliable 1.5-litre petrol engine good for an estimated 103 bhp and 137 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Maruti’s Smart Hybrid tech also helps in achieving better fuel economy, and we expect the new Wagon R to deliver anything between 20-21 km/l. There’s a good chance that a CNG option will also be presented at a later stage for added efficiencies.
